THE PRINCIPLES //
“When you’re a carpenter making a beautiful chest of drawers, you’re not going to use a piece of plywood on the back, even though nobody will ever see it. You’ll know it’s there. For you to sleep well at night, the aesthetic, the quality, has to be carried all the way through”
// Steve Jobs
In terms of the way wood is worked at Rua, the previous quote is not a simile but a reality, and sums up in a few words the desire for excellence that permeates the workshop, from which unique pieces are produced exclusively on demand and according to the wishes of the client, an ally of the team throughout the whole process.
The grain of the wood runs uninterrupted throughout the piece of furniture, one of the many details that are a result of the care and affection with which the work is carried out every day in the workshop.
The frame that holds the digital work, also made of solid oak, gets to stand out without stealing the spotlight.
In the legs of this piece, which are also an exclusive design, we find the touch of metal that complements and highlights the elegance and originality of the set.
The top and sides of this piece are joined in a way that is simple to the eye, but requires a technical effort to execute that is within the reach of only the most experienced hands.
